Who Are We?
Houston Rehab Services is an Occupational Therapist owned company who specializes in providing Developmental Occupational Therapy services to children who have been diagnosed or suspected to have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) ages 0-8 years old in Houston, TX and surrounding areas. With a focus on Early Childhood Development, our therapists work with children in their natural environments of home, daycare, or in the community, and equip families with the tools and resources needed to help their child(ren) maximize their functional potential and abilities.
We provide our clients with comprehensive standardized Sensory Processing Evaluations, Function-Based Developmental Assessments, skilled therapy treatment and interventions that are based on the latest research and individualized to address the child’s unique needs and challenges, and whole family training sessions.
Families contact Houston Rehab Services when they have concerns regarding their child’s fine or gross motor skills, sensory -integration, or developmental milestones. Common types of challenges seen include decreased feeding or limited food choice toleration, fine and/or gross motor skill delays during play, learning, or dressing tasks, decreased attention/focus to tasks, decreased following verbal directions, behaviors of hitting, biting, scratching self or others, excessive movement and/or fidgeting, difficulty with “potty” training, difficulty with bedtime and sleep routines, decreased social participation with other same age children, visual motor difficulties, and other suspected delays of age appropriate milestones.
