FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
No, we are private pay only. We accept cash, credit/debit card, and FHA. We can provide you with a Super bill to seek reimbursement from your insurance company for our services.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes.
Do you see clients in a clinic?
No, we are a in-home therapy company. Services are provided at your residence of choice, child’s daycare, or within the community with the family as needed (i.e. park).
What is the process of getting started with your services?
You can either call 713-923-1000 or complete the form on our website’s Contact Us page to request a free consultation. You will have an initial 15 minute consultation with Monica Matthews- Smith, Occupational Therapist on video call to discuss your concerns and child’s needs. If she recommends that your child be formally evaluated, she will get you scheduled for a home visit to complete the evaluation. After the assessment is completed, within 48 hours you will be scheduled a meeting to review the results and discuss therapy treatment options.
Why don’t you take insurance?
Oftentimes insurance claims can be delayed or denied which can interrupt or limit a child’s recommended therapy plan. For a child with Autism, consistency in treatment is key! Insurance companies also decide how many treatment visits they will allow the child, and we rather support what is best for the child based on their specific needs and the concerns of the family. Lastly, due to the demands of insurance companies for therapists to see a high volume of clients, it would jeopardize the quality of care and time that we desire to provide our clients.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
For children receiving services ONLY for suspected or diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder a referral is recommended but not needed. If your child has any additional medical condition(s) that require them to be followed by a physician, a referral is needed. Contact us and we can advise based on your child’s medical history.
